Knowing how to integrate and document sources into my research paper will help my paper seem credible and sophisticated, allowing the reader to know where my research is from. I read about how to paraphrase in the correct form, using the authors name somewhere in the text to identify that it’s the author’s thought. Focusing on small points within the blog posts I read, will allow me to make stronger connections to my desired community. By writing down the main ideas within the source, it will allow me to summarize the text appropriately to get my point across. I don’t want to be accused for plagiarism by inaccurately citing the sources I read, so it’s important to review the accurate way to cite your sources. I learned to be cautious when comparing my similar thoughts to cited sources, as it a can be misunderstood as plagiarism. I also learned from this chapter to visit the writing center to check for any errors within my writing and make sure I have the accurate MLA format within my writing. The writing center, as well as my peers, can help me revise and correct my work to ensure my writing reaches its highest potential.
